In order to better guide teachers and students to accumulate academic research experience, on November 24th, 2022, the school of management invited Chunming Shi, who is the professor and doctoral supervisor of Lazaridis School of business, laurel University, Canada, to give an online lecture entitled How to write an academic paper for a research journal through Tencent conference platform, The lecture was presided over by Professor Qiu, deputy dean of the school of management.
Dr. Chunming Shi first briefly introduced the basic situation of Lazaridis Business School of laurel University in Canada. In addition, Dr. Shi gave a detailed introduction and explanation on topics such as how to put forward ideas in a specific field of research, how to express research ideas in papers, the general structure of research papers, and how to write abstracts, introductions, methodologies, results, discussions and conclusions.
In this online lecture, Dr. Chunming Shi systematically introduced how to write scientific research papers in academic journals, and took the academic paper The Benefit of Horizontal Decentralization in Durable Good Procurement as an example to sort out the important ideas and academic values in the paper. At the end of the lecture, teachers and students had a full discussion with Professor Shi about the writing paradigm and how to choose the appropriate journal. The teachers said that the lecture provided a reference for academic research.
